I created this little box as a thank you box and filled it with some home baked cookies i made for a friend. This box is a simple 6 x 6 x 2 inch box with a cut out lid to showcase the biscuits i made with my children. I created a 8 x 8 square then using the kiss cut feature in the Pazzle Inspiration software created the score lines, remember you have to add cut lines between the 8 x 8 box outer and the 6 x 6 score lines to be able to assemble the box. Then using the basis of this file i copied and pasted into a new document and made it 2mm larger, this allows for the top of the box to fit on top and be removed easily. I then placed a square in the centre of the file 5.2 x 5.2 inches, this is were you place your acetate to create a window. When cutting the acetate on the Pazzle you want to use an older mat that is low tack so that you don’t leave glue marks on your acetate window. Then cut in co-ordinating cardstock or patterned paper a border to go around the acetate window 5.1 x 5.1 inches and 5.4 x 5.4 inches this will create a thin border frame. Cut 2 swirls from the Swirls and Twirls CD to place under the decorative Prima Flower (Dianthe Mercado).
To make the scalloped border to run around the edge of the box lid i created four 6.2 inch border pieces and added a scallop edge with a small circle set into each scallop piece this created a lace scallop edge to dress up the box. Using the pen tool i made an oval” thank you” tag that i then cut with the PI and created a decorative border edge to finish off the tag. To finish off the inside of the box i used coordinating patterned paper to line the walls of the box .
This box was made from the fantastic Green Lush Collection and has all been cut using the pazzle inspiration. Its a great way to showcase your baking or just to dress up a gift you want to give to friends.
