It's that time of the year again, and I can't wait. Once again Addicted to craft will be hosting some  bumper classes, Prima, My Minds Eye, Rouge de grance,and Studio calico..... make sure you pop on over here to book in for your classes

Very Lush Mini Album with Kellie Lusted
Skill level: All levels
Make an accordion type mini album 4 x 4’’ and learn how to make scrunched paper flowers, cutwork and create an album without rings, staples or a binder to hold it together. All you need to know is how to use a paper trimmer and a pair of scissors. We will be using the latest My Mind’s Eye and Prima products. Class includes My Mind’s Eye – latest Lush range of papers and embellishments, New Prima flowers, lace and embellishments. Students bring your Expo Tool Kit, minimum of eight black and white photos 2 x 3’’. When it comes to theme think girl/love/wedding the mini album colours will be mainly black, red and cream, ink pen - black for outlining and journaling, some heavy duty glue, black ink/chalk and an edge distresser – optional. Class Cost: $45

A Touch of Rouge with Sarah Gladman
Skill level: All levels
Make a 12 x 12 inch scrapbook layout using the fabulous new range from French company, Rouge de Garance – Nympheas with embellishments including Prima flowers. You will learn how to layer your papers and embellishments to create a 3D page as well as create texture and interest by adding elements such as inking, sanding and tearing. Class includes Rouge de Garance papers and embellishments, Prima flowers plus more. Students bring your Expo Tool Kit, sandpaper – fine grade, Pinecone or similar colour Ink, mounting/puffy tape, one black and white 5 x 7’’ photo, portrait orientation – girly theme. Class Cost: $45

Come Fly with Me with Angella Peardon
Skill level: All levels
Create a 3D whimsical layout using Studio Calico , Prima and My Mind’s Eye. You will learn to go outside the square, to layer, ink, tear and even include a touch of hybrid, while adding details of 3D effects and giving a personal touch with flowers and embellishments. Class includes Studio Calico Papers – Anthology Range, New Prima flowers and embellishments and My Mind’s Eye embellishments. Students bring your Expo Tool Kit, one colour 5 x 7’’ portrait photo, when thinking of theme – picnics, young children, whimsical girl photos, 3D foam, scissors fine for cutting, light brown ink. Class Cost: $45

This project didn't take too long to put together, using two flowers from the Paper Petals CD; disassemble them and cut.  Assemble the petals randomly to create a beautiful bouquet.  Download steps available soon.

Addicted To Craft will be showcasing Prima, My Mind's Eye, Rouge de Garance in a wonderful French Provincial setting..

"What if ... we grew up in Paris" - Have you ever wondered what it would be like ? Our class with the wonderful Sarah Gladman will give the attending retailers an insight on creating CHIC, BOLD, ROYAL, GIRLY and OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

We will also be showcasing all our other great ranges we distribute, including the Creative Cutter Inspiration and the latest electronic cutter to hit the Scrapbooking market ! - the eCraft Electronic Cutter.  Yes, that is right !

Attending retailers will be the first to see and touch this fantastic new cutter - the eCraft with no cutting mat, automatic paper settings, draws and cuts at the same time ...click here to see more about the eCraft products that will be available in Australia approx. June 2010.

Trina shows us how

Trina show us how to create a totally unique T-Shirt for you or your child.....

Here in NZ we are lucky enough to have a promotion with “Persil” washing powder. All you have to do is clip a piece of the packaging and you get a T-Shirt from Pumpkin Patch totally free. And they’re nice t-shirts. The only down side is that they are quite plain. Nothing, is on the front at all. Nothing.

So Sarah (my daughter) and I decided to sharpen her t-shirt up a little.

Of course with my love of Prima, I decided to use some of their stamps to create the main part of the design.

And here’s how you can do the same:

Supplies:

Fabric paint x 2-3 colours

Prima Stamps

Ribbons

Fabric flowers

Fabric word (Prima or your own design)

Felt

Beads

Embroidery floss

Tools:

Paint brush

Sewing machine

1.    Gather your supplies and tools, and then get ready to ‘go’.

2.    Cover your large Prima stamp with the fabric paint. And stamp onto the t-shirt. As you lift the stamp, you may find some parts that haven’t stamped as cleanly as you like. Use your paint brush to ‘tidy up’ those areas.

3.    Allow paint to dry. Then cover with a piece of paper, and iron to set the paint (as per instructions on paint packaging – usually about 5 mins).

4.    Now you can start to have fun with your embellishing.

5.    Choose several ribbons that match the design and layer on top of each other. Then stitch together. And then onto the shirt.

6.    Choose a fabric word from Prima or make your own and stitch onto the shirt above your ribbon.

7.    Above this, stamp another word or two, to make a sentence on the t-shirt.

8.    Next stamp a lovely leaf design to the right side of the t-shirt at the bottom right (as you look at the t-shirt) of your ribbon.

9.    Hand cut a ‘bird’ from some felt, and use your leaf stamp to create design and texture on the bird.

10.   Again, allow to dry and then heat set.

11.   Hand stitch around the edge of the bird, adhering to the t-shirt at the same time.

12.   Choose a selection of Prima fabric flowers and place onto the t-shirt. Use your sewing machine to stitch onto the t-shirt. If you don’t have a sewing machine, pick up some embroidery floss and hand stitch! Go on, dare ya!

13.   Finally scatter a couple of beads onto the t-shirt and hand sew onto it.

14.   Now go and grab your model and put the t-shirt on, stand back and admire your work of art, enjoying how unique it is.
