Studio Calico Documentry Challenge

The collections from Studio Calico are fabulous and so versatile ! Just released by Studio Calico and available at your LSS now through Addicted to Craft, just look at what the Design Team have done :

This Documentary Studio Calico line is absolutely gorgeous and I started off by doing a travel layout
as I loved all of the names of places on the Itinerary paper. I used a circle punch to cut out three
of the ‘Paris’ circles from the Itinerary paper and then covered them in Glossy Accents to make
embellishments. I also ripped open the Itinerary paper to let the map part of the Fab Rip Strips show
through. The background paper has been sprayed with Memory Mist in Amaretto.

For the You turned My Life Upside Down layout I wanted to try to create a softer look to the papers
so I used a decorative punch to cut strips of the Camera Shy and Souvenir papers before cutting
them into a circle shape. The flowers are made from strips of the Fab Rip Strips which I folded slightly
and then twisted into a flower shape – no glue needed as it is self adhesive! For the alpha stickers I
decided that black would balance the layout better so I coloured the stickers (while they were still on
the sheet) with a black Copic marker. The black paper showing on both of these layouts is the My
Mind’s Eye Meadowlark Dawn Damask paper (reverse side)
